形態特徵

• Rhizome short creeping, slender, densely tufted, covered with red-brown glumes. Culms 5-20 cm long, filiform, triquetrous, scabrid above.
• Leaves rather many, 2-3 mm wide; sheaths sanguineous-purple or dusky brown.
• Spikes solitary, terminal, androgynous; staminate part short, linear, 0.3-1 cm long, 1-1.5 mm thick, several-flowered; pistillate part 1-2 cm long, loosely bearing 3 to 8 flowers.
• Pistillate glumes oblong to obovate, ca. 3.5 mm long, reddish brown, obtuse to subtruncate at apex. Utricles slightly longer than glume, erect-patent to patent, obovate to elliptic, trigonous; 3.5-4 mm long, nerveless except for two costas, pale green to pale yellow; sparsely hirsute on upper half, short stipe at base; beak short, recurved. Achenes tightly enveloped, obovate to oblong, trigonous, 2-2.5 mm long, contracted at apex, cuneate at base; style short, exserted from utricular orifice; stigmas 3, short.
